Ozone depletion cause

When refrigerant like cfc's, R11, R12,R22 etc leaks to the atmosphere it rises and comes in contact with ultra violet rays and gets broken into chlorine atom .
When chlorine atom attacks ozone layer it forms chlorine monoxide .
And the remaining single oxygen atom attacks the chlorine monoxide to form oxygen molecule . And it releases the chlorine atom which further breaks the ozone .
